The immediate past has seen a very successful choral tour by St Catharine’s College girls’ choir, (directed by Dr Edward Wickham) – with performances in Budapest (attended by the British Deputy Ambassadress & husband), in Kecskemet – including a tour & introduction to Kodaly technique at the Institute (organised by Dr. Mihail Ittzes) and 4 wonderful days in Szeged.
There they worked & performed with the Piarist school (organised by Tunde Fabri-Ivanovics & Geza Fabri and with kind permission of the headmaster, Attila Papp). In Szeged they gave 3 concerts, including a Gala performance with both choirs together and a final concert at the Konig Kiraly school (arranged & hosted by Judit Katona).
Delmagyar reported on the events 2 days running (7th & 8th April) & DUNA TV filmed the Budapest event. This can be accessed on their DUNA website
